Dawn M. Bowne

Dawn has been employed by the City of Dunnellon since 1986, happily serving the residents of Dunnellon for Thirty years.

Dawn was appointed by City Council in 1994 as Dunnellon's City Clerk responsible for the areas of Finance, Human Resources and General Administration of the City until the City became a City Council-Manager form of government in 2001. She has served in the positions of Public Services Staff Assistant, Assistant City Clerk and Finance Director during her career with the City. Dawn holds certifications in Labor Relations, Certified Municipal Clerk and Master Municipal Clerk.

As City Clerk and Personnel Director, some of the areas Dawn is responsible for include general administration of public records, insurance, customer service, cashier, council elections, codification of city code, website administration, IT coordination, automation of city services, and human resources.

In June of 2016, Dawn was appointed by the Dunnellon City Council as interim City Manager.

Dawn was raised in Dunnellon and has been married to Jeff Bowne, her high school sweetheart, for twenty-nine years. Jeff and Dawn have one daughter, Emily, who is 17 years old.
