The City of Dunnellon is Seeking Volunteers to Serve on the Planning Commission

The City of Dunnellon proposes to seeking volunteers to serve on the Planning Commission Board.  This board hears and makes recommendations to City Council on applications for land use changes, zoning changes, comprehensive plan amendments, special exceptions and variances to the City’s Zoning Code.  The Planning Commission is governed by City Code, Florida Statutes and Florida’s Government in the Sunshine Law.  Members must be acquainted with these laws as well as the City’s Comprehensive Plan, Land Use Map and Zoning Codes.  The City Council is seeking applicants with knowledge and  experience relevant to planning, zoning and land use.  Selection will be based on qualifications.  Attendance at monthly meetings is required. Applicant must be a city resident, or own a business or property within the City for a minimum of three years.
