Councilwoman Linda Fernandez was elected to her first term on the Dunnellon City Council and sworn into office on March 11, 2019 to Council Seat #5.
Councilwoman Fernandez served on the City’s Historic Preservation board from 2007 to 2019 and as Chairwoman since 2013. She also served on the Utility Advisory Board from 2017 to 2019 and Chaired the Fire Rescue Advisory Board in 2002.
Councilwoman Fernandez was born in New York but has resided in the Dunnellon area for the last 40 years. She was married to the late Dr. “Doc” Fernandez until his death in 2013. She also owned and operated Dunnellon Real Estate, retiring after 30 years of business.
Councilwoman Fernandez has expressed she is happy to be on City Council serving the community she loves, and as a Councilwoman she will strive to ensure the community receives the highest level of service possible, including public safety.
